Louis Mario Albiero, Sr. Obituary | Beverly MA | Same-Day Sympathy Flower Delivery

Louis Mario Albiero, Sr., 79, of Beverly, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Monday, May 25, 2026.

Lou was born in Peabody, Massachusetts on April 17, 1947, to Jennie (Bettinazzi) and Giuseppe Albiero. He attended Peabody High School and graduated with the Class of 1964.

Following graduation, Lou proudly volunteered to serve his country in the United States Army from March 1966 until February 1969. During his military service, he was deployed to Phu Lam, Vietnam from February 1968 through February 1969, earning the rank of Specialist 5th Class. He served as a Ciphony Repairman, maintaining and repairing sensitive secure voice communications equipment.

After returning home, Lou began a long and successful career in the plumbing and heating industry. He worked for a close friend’s father’s plumbing business, eventually earning his license as a master plumber. He later owned and operated Albiero Plumbing and Heating for 21 years.

Lou then worked for Leader Management in Brookline, Massachusetts, where he was responsible for plumbing work for more than 300 units throughout the Greater Boston area. Later, he joined Cummings Properties in Beverly, where he enjoyed working as part of a team. Lou worked for Cummings Properties for 12 years before fully retiring in July of 2015.

Lou had many hobbies and interests. He loved fishing for striped bass in the warmer months and ice fishing with friends in the winter. As a member of the Northshore Frogmen’s Club, he was an avid SCUBA diver and spent many hours diving for lobster with his brother Angie and later with his son, Lou Jr.

He also enjoyed target shooting, motorcycles, vintage cars, old-time rock and roll, traveling with his wife, and working in his garden. Lou was a longtime member of the B.P.O. Elks and held many offices throughout his membership, most notably serving as Exalted Ruler of both the Marblehead Elks Lodge and the Peabody Elks Lodge.

Lou is survived by his wife Cynthia (Macaro); his daughter Amy Albiero; his son Lou Albiero, Jr. and his wife Corinne; his grandchildren Noelle (Sommer) and Marek; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Jennie and Giuseppe Albiero; his sister Josephine Lussier; and his brothers Angelo and Alfonso.
