Essex Village is an independent senior residential community owned and operated by Lynnfield Initiatives for Elders, Inc. (L.I.F.E.).

Current Town of Lynnfield information identifies 66 residences in 13 buildings at Essex Village.

All 66 residences are currently described as two-bedroom homes of approximately 1,150 square feet.

Under current L.I.F.E. eligibility requirements, at least one occupant must be age 60 or older.

Essex Village is independent senior housing. It is not an assisted-living residence, memory-care community, nursing home or rehabilitation facility.

Town information describes the Essex Village development as being located at 443 Essex Street in Lynnfield.

However, individual residents use their own Essex Village residential addresses. For example, addresses within the development may be formatted with a building or residence number followed by “Essex Village.”

The L.I.F.E. administrative office is separately listed at 101 Essex Village. That office address should not automatically be used for a resident’s flower delivery.

For the most accurate delivery, please provide the recipient’s actual Essex Village street address or residence number whenever available.

L.I.F.E. specifically requires Essex Village occupants to be able to function independently within their residences.

L.I.F.E. states that it does not provide home-health care, homemaking services, assisted living or other ancillary residential-care services for occupants.

For that reason, Essex Village should not be described as assisted living, memory care or a nursing facility.
