Good Samaritan Lodge was instituted in 1870 and constituted in 1871.

The Lodge originally met closer to the center of Reading. The current Masonic building at 110 Haven Street was constructed in 1974.

The two-story building contains the Masonic lodge hall on the second floor and a function hall on the first floor operated by the Reading Masonic Building Association.
