Bienvenido Peguero Lajara of Peabody, MA, beloved husband of Eloida Marina Peguero, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and community member, known for his love of baseball, lifelong dedication to family, and charitable contributions.
Visiting hours: at O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Square, Salem, MA. Burial in the Dominican Republic.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center or Care Dimensions Kaplan Family Hospice House of Danvers.
Paul Michael Scopa of Danvers, MA, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025 at Hathorne Hill in Danvers. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Henry and Philomena (DeRosa) Scopa. Paul proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and later founded Scopa Construction. He was deeply involved in his community and a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Visiting hours: at O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple Street (RT 62), Danvers, MA. A funeral service and military honors will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at a later date.
Paul is survived by his daughter Paula Marie (Scopa) Lima and her husband Orlando, his brother Pasquale Scopa, grandchildren Kendra (Lima) Maltais, Michael Lima, and great-grandchildren Emmarie James Maltais, Lucas Paul Lima, Rosalie Drew Maltais, and Logan Michael Lima, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, wife Lillian (DeMelis) Scopa, previous wife Eleanor (DeMelis) Scopa, and sister Eleanor (Scopa) Fabiano.
